The full system combines Yamaha’s ‘drive-by-wire’ Digital Electronic Control (DEC), Built-in Digital Electric Steering (DES), premium CL5 multifunction display, feature-packed autopilot, full manoeuvrability joystick and variable speed bow thruster. 

Yamaha’s exclusive TotalTilt™ function allows for the complete tilt up or down of the outboard from any position with a simple double push of the Up or Down trim/tilt buttons. The new bracket allows the engine to tilt higher out of the water, helping to lessen the potential for corrosion, while the built-in tilt limiter automatically stops the engine tilt at a predetermined set point. 

This warning light feature is optional accessory when installed with the full Helm Master EX boat control system. The light mounts directly to the outboard rather than the transom, for an integrated look and finish. The warning light indicates the boat is actively in one of the Helm Master EX SetPoint™ modes.

Flushing your outboard has never been easier thanks to the introduction of the optional dual flush system. The engine flush hose can now be routed through a new rigging grommet inside the rigging tube, allowing you to flush the engine from within the boat and multiple engines at once.

The plasma fusion process creates a cylinder wall surface that is 60% harder than steel, removing the need for conventional steel cylinder sleeves. The removal of these sleeves significantly reduces weight while increasing capacity in the engine, resulting in an improved power-to-weight performance.

The 350 has the same 81mm electronic throttle valve as the XTO 450, and is designed for smooth air flow and responsive power, while the larger intake and exhaust valves and Variable Camshaft Timing (VCT) deliver an improved air flow advantage.

A rotating cooling fan has been incorporated into the flywheel to combat the potential build-up of residual heat inside the cowling. This cooling system is very effective in drawing heat out of the flywheel area even at low engine speeds, for improved durability and reliability.

Completely redesigned with greater ergonomic comfort and new capabilities, including: Speed Control (push-button up or down), Pattern Shift (for slower than idle speed trolling), Neutral Hold (for engine warm up or additional charge for batteries), Station Selector (for selector more then one helm) and Engine Trim.

Helm Master® EX is an industry-first fully integrated digital boat control system that delivers next level control over your boat for increased boating and fishing enjoyment. Now available for single and multiple outboard engine applications, with Autopilot, Joystick and Bow Thruster integration options.

This proven big block V-type 6-cylinder has an expanded piston stroke and a displacement of 4.3L, delivering more torque throughout all RPM ranges. Featuring plasma-fused, sleeveless cylinders, double overhead camshafts (DOHC) and four valves per cylinder, this engine is lightweight, powerful and fuel efficient. 

Redirects exhaust bubbles away from the prop when operating in reverse and under 2500rpm, resulting in cleaner water for greater prop grip and significantly improved thrust. This is handy for navigating around marinas and docks, reversing onto your catch and when combined with the Helm Master EX joystick boating control system. 

To handle the enormous power generated by this outboard, the gear case utilises a freshly designed dog clutch, with more teeth, improving torque transfer from the power head to the propeller. These new design features further enhance the lower units legendary reliability and durability, further increasing operator confidence.

The enhanced heat management system keeps everything nice and cool under the cowling. This not only improves engine durability and reliability but creates more available amps, when it is needed most, at idle – powering the increasing array of electrical devices used in today’s modern boats.
